Car of the Month

Generation one Acura Integra LS. Northeast Harbor, Mt. Desert Island, Maine, April 2011. The first generation Integra was sold in the U.S. from 1986-1989. This car was the first Japanese car sold in the U.S. with after-market tuning in mind. Honda spread Japanese tuner culture to the States by way of the Integra and it remains popular.

NYC Winter 2010. I rode in so many of these when I was a kid.
1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup.

Car of the Month

TVR. I think this is an intermediate M-series. Perhaps a 3000M, 73-74. Beautiful. Washington, DC, Fall 2010.

Nice and crispy Dodge Dakota. Probably mid-'90s, 1st generation. NY '10.
Nice grill and mirror paint.

Never would have thought this cream color would work on a car but it matches the matte black perfectly. Owner has a good eye. FJ Cruiser, NY '10.

The alloy beadlock wheels are an excellent factory option choice. Snap-in Toyota Racing Development center caps are a real nice touch.

Jaguar XJ-S, good condition. This has been one of my favorites since I was a kid. I find the rear pillar appealing, though it is viewed by many Jaguar enthusiasts as an aesthetic flaw. It also decreases visibility out of the rear. This car probably pre-dates the 1991- the year the name was changed to "XJS."
